SPEAKERS:
Bernadette MacAliskey – Irish socialist and community campaigner: on the significance of Brexit for the trade unions and socialists in Ireland and the impact on the Irish border.
Marina Prentoulis – London representative of Greek socialist party Syriza: on the impact and significance of Brexit for the European left and trade unions (especially those in Greece).
(Our international speakers will also talk about how working women in the British trade unions can continue to collaborate in a Europe-wide fight against austerity and develop a joint programme to fight on for a Europe fit for working people.)
Dr Veronika Wagner – Doctors in Unite: on the development of “internal borders” in the NHS and the impact of Brexit on the NHS workforce.
Cassandra Geary – young car worker on the Vauxhall Luton Van production line - about the effects of Brexit on the car industry.
Dr Mary-Ann Stephenson - Director, UK Women’s Budget Group: a network of leading feminist economists, researchers, policy experts and campaigners committed to achieving a more gender equal future.
